This project was carried out during the Espositivo residence in Madrid in August 2017.

“Exploración invertida” is a project developed from a constant review of scenes, objects and times in the central areas of Madrid. The work unfolds as material exercises and memory exercises that have as their central axis the route, the recovery (of “vestige” objects) and the person-space relations in the city.

Part of the methodology was the repetition and constant revision of routes that became patterns that, although they were quasi-fixed in a cartographic dimension, radically changed in content and experiences both from the social level as well as from the material and objective plane. The observation and collection of material content set the tone for the assembly of pieces created in the workshop. The relationship between distance and the almost simultaneous familiarity, of domestic closeness with people, places, language and objects became, in turn, a finding, but also a time lag
